PLOT

The action takes place in Pozzuoli in the Thirties, during the three days indicated in the title, in the house where the Priore family lives. The woman, mother of three children, is a woman who is still appealing, and much loved by her husband; he, however, makes her life difficult because of his jealousy (indeed he suspects that his wife is betraying him with a close family friend who appears too attentive). And it is during Sunday dinner in fact that Peppino spits out the bitter pill that has been sticking in his throat, ma king humiliating accusations toward the woman. The next day everything returns to normal, Peppino’s doubts are clarified and the two finally discover that they still love each other very much. (Enrico Lancia)
